Curt and Bill arrive in Islamabad
Yesterday it was 120 degrees F here in Islamabad. It’s dusty and chaotic. Any task you want to accomplish takes a long time. We spent two hours this morning trying to find a place to cash American Express travelers checks - no luck.

I remember first meeting Alison in Aspen, CO when I saw her give a talk on climate change. I was impressed with her poise, knowledge, and passion, and how much effort she has put into getting us to look more closely at what we can do to lessen our impacts on the planet.
